Hi HEALers! Hope all is well. Can you believe summer is almost over? Say it isn’t so! I’m excited though that your course is beginning. New thoughts and ideas are waiting to be explored!
I just have a few items I wanted to pass on. The HEAL home site has been updated to reflect Dr. Celeste Snowber’s syllabus (under Course Syllabi), her website (under Faculty), and her BodyPsalms Blog (under Resources).
Also, here’s a recap on what you've posted this summer:
The SFU Summer Institute continues to generate many thoughts regarding education, teaching, and learning in the 21st century. Read these pieces by Brittany, Cara, Cathyrn, Danielle, Laura, Marina, Raj, Rosie, Sherry, and Taneem. Jame’s play-by-play on Dr. Peggy Patterson’s keynote is very entertaining!
Have you traveled during this summer break? Taneem just got back from the Big Island. Lucky woman! As many of you know Jennifer has left for Australia! She asked me to keep her blog active on our HEAL home site so we can continue to follow her educational journey. We wish you luck!
Crystal shares a summary of her curriculum design assignment on stress and mental illness among teenagers.
Laura discusses creating digital narratives and the effects of graphic health promotion messages. She also posts a wonderful clip on dancing around the world.
Sherry offers informative links and Taneem ponders on the end of the term three and the beginning of another adventure!
Enjoy the weather and see you all real soon!
Cheers,
Jacqueline
