Funding Opportunity & More!
Good Morning HEALers!
TGIF! I’ve got a couple items I’d like to share so grab that steaming cup of coffee, bagel with cream cheese, and enjoy!
Looking for a grant to help support your school-based health initiative? Physical Health & Education (PHE) Canada is offering a series of funding opportunities for those individuals who can “come up with an idea that will channel physical activity, healthy eating, and overall healthy living from schools to home life, and the school community.” PHE describes, “Your project should build awareness of and inspire students, families and community members to find solutions to the barriers to physical activity, healthy eating and healthy lifestyle choices.”
To learn more about this grant, please click here. Deadline for the application is December 7, 2012. (Thank you Stephen for the link!)
Ever heard of a Fitbit? It’s like a pedometer on steroids. Check out this article by Craig Mod and his experience walking the streets of Paris with his personal tracking device. It's amazing how our health habits change when we monitor ourselves!
Need to create more time in your life? Here's a start.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Sincerely,
Jacqueline
