Hello HEALers!
How are you doing?  I hope this email finds you all well.  I wanted to share some wonderful news!
As
I was perusing your student blogs, I learned that our Laura Dilley
recently published her first paper.  Congratulations Laura!  You can
read more about her qualitative analysis on harm reduction services
here.
Our
Sherry Sinclair also had the honor to speak on behalf of BC Association
of Family Resource Programs and congratulate the BC Government on their
announcement of BC Family Day. Check her out!  She’s at minute 1:19 on
the video.
Also,
I really enjoyed the creativity that you all approached the last
assignment with.  They were a pleasure to read and to post!
And finally, here are a few additional items that I wanted to share from your blogs:
How can a child value and/or learn to value the natural world when the current social structures surrounding them do not?
Is Media Monkey on your kid’s back?
Get outside and play at least one hour a day!
And while you are out there, plant something!
Eat local deliciousness!
Dueling paradigms that shape school-based health education programs.
TED talk: Sheryl Sandberg on Success
Explore the world in a new way.
What’s your teaching perspective?
I’m
so proud of you all and your accomplishments!  If you need anything,
please feel free to email me.  Take care and see you all soon!
Sincerely,
Jacqueline
