I have mentioned the Ministry intention to "implement" the BC Education Plan in an organic rather than a bureaucratic way. If you work in K-12 it is very much a foreground issue, but for anyone interested in implementation and change it is a fascinating case study.
On Friday of last week the Ministry of Education held a forum at the Wosk Center for Dialogue to discuss the changes it would like to see in K-12 education in BC. An invited audience of 155 (the maximum capacity) was heavily skewed to the business community because of the need to ensure support from that sector but also included many educators. Similar forums are apparently planned for other parts of the province in the future.
